Blackbuck poaching case: Salman Khan gets bail from Jodhpur Court

Bollywood actor Salman Khan who has spent two nights in Jodhpur Central Jail amid tight security has finally gets bail from Jodhpur Court.

The actor will have to shell out Rs 50,000 as the bail amount.

The actor sentenced to five year imprisonment for killing two blackbucks in Kankani village, near Jodhpur, during the shooting of “Hum Saath Saath Hain” in 1998.

While, his co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam Kothari and Sonal Bendre were acquitted by the Jodhpur sessions court.

 Besides a five-year jail term, Salman was imposed a fine of Rs 10,000. Salman Khan’s sister Alvira, Arpita and his bodyguard Shera were also present in the courtroom during the hearing.

Salman Khan  is accused of killing two blackbucks on October 2, 1998 in Kankani village in Jodhpur while shooting Hum Saath Saath Hain. Salman’s co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, and Tabu, who were also shooting for the film, are the co-accused in the case. A local named Dushyant Singh, who was also an accused, has been acquitted as well.

He was charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and others under Section 51 read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code.

It is really a huge sigh of relief for Salman Khan and his fans.
