Ranveer, Anushka, SRK and other celebs welcome IAF Hero Abhinandan

Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman is finally back home. The Air Force pilot, was captured by Pakistani forces after his MiG-21 went down during a dogfight in which a Pakistani F-16 was also blasted out of the sky.

Well, now the wing commander returned home after spending nearly 60 hours in captivity.

His safe return from Pakistan gripped the entire nation with excitement and joy. Bollywood celebs also welcomed Abhinandan and shared their joy of the Wing Commander’s homecoming.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday announced in parliament that the country would release him as a “peace gesture”.

The confrontation erupted after the February 14 Pulwama attack by Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed, in which over 40 soldiers were killed. India’s air strikes on Tuesday targeted a huge Jaish training facility in Pakistan’s Balakot, around 80 km from the Line of Control.
