The reason behind taking the trailer of the movie down might be the order of Election Commission that has put a stay on the release of PM Modi biopic. As per the order of Election Commission, “Any poster or publicity material concerning any such certified content, which either depicts a candidate (including prospective) for the furtherance (or purported to further) of electoral prospect, directly or indirectly, shall not be put to display in electronic media in the area where MCC (model code of conduct) is in operation.”

The makers of the biopic have been battling a lot of problems because of the release date.  The film, which was initially slated to hit the screens on April 12, was brought ahead to April 5, but missed the new release date. After that, the makers announced that they were releasing the film on April 11, but on April 10, the Election Commission put a stay on the release.
