Mansi Srivastava reveals reason behind calling off her engagement with Mohit Abrol

Television actress Mansi Srivastava who is currently seen in Divya Drishti as Lavanya Shergill has recently called-off her engagement with fiance Mohit Abrol. 

The couple got engaged in August 2016 after dating for six years. It was also being said that the couple have unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Well now, Mansi reveals the real reason behind calling off their engagement. She said that there were compatibility issues between the two of them. Mansi also said that they tried to give their relationship several chances but it couldn’t work out.

“There were compatibility issues and lack of understanding. Also, we wanted different things from life. Mohit and I gave our relationship many chances, but it just didn’t work out. I realised that it makes no sense to drag the relationship on and hence, I decided to end it in January this year. Looking back, I feel that we could have worked it out if we had tried to handle things maturely and with a bit more understanding. But it’s all in the past now,” Mansi told Times Of India.

She reveals that they were to tie the knot in March 2018, but postponed the wedding after they called time on their relationship. The actress adds, “I am glad that the break-up has been cordial. I cherish my time with Mohit and will always wish the best for him. In fact, I don’t mind being his friend.”

Mansi is thankful that her parents were by her side. She shares, “It was extremely difficult initially, as Mohit and I have literally grown up together. We have known each other since our days in Delhi, when we were working with the same airlines. I was 23 years old when we fell in love, and I wanted to marry him immediately. However, our families wanted us to settle in our careers first. It was difficult for me to call it off, and I am sure it was equally difficult for him, too. But we are better off without each other, for our personal and professional growth.”

On work front, Mansi is currently seen in Divya Drishti. She had made her TV debut with Suvreen Guggal – Topper of The Year. While, Mohit was last seen in Porus. He has also appeared in shows like Swaragini, Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi and Kavach-Kaali Shaktiyon Se.
