Tahira Kashyap gets trolled for sitting on Buddha’s statue, apologies later

Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap who was detected with breast cancer last year has recently grabbed the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Tahira has recently posted a series of pictures from a wellness resort on social media. In one of the pictures, Tahira can be seen sitting on the lap of a huge statue of Budhha.

Was the most beautiful, relaxing experience at @atmantan Was in sync with nature and it’s blessings! Soon after receiving backlash, Tahira was quick to respond and she issued an apology for having offended religious sentiments. She wrote, “I apologise if I have offended anybody, but I myself am a Nicherin’s Buddhism practitioner and I felt embraced in the lap of Buddha. Every religion, every philosophy is about love. In no way did I mean to disrespect. Sorry if I have hurt anyone From my perspective there is only love.” 

Meanwhile, Tahira, who has directed a short film – Toffee – is working on a new movie about five women of different ages. The project is bankrolled by T-Series.
