Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap who is known for voicing his opinions on several issues has recently quits Twitter on Saturday.
Kashyap took to Twitter to announce that he is leaving the platform after his daughter and parents received multiple threats.
“When your parents start to get calls and your daughter gets online threats you know that no one wants to talk. There isn’t going to be reason or rationale.”

In second tweet, he wrote “Wish you all the happiness and success. This would be my last tweet as I leave twitter. When I won’t be allowed to speak my mind without fear then I would rather not speak at all. Goodbye.”
Talking about his decision to quit Twitter, the director told Firstpost,“When threats go beyond the online [world] and reach your family, it’s time to call it off. I wish the best to this country and people, and everyone celebrating this new India. Unko mubarak ho. I will go be an ostrich and bury my head in the sand and do my work.”

Earlier Kashyap had also filed a complaint against some Twitter users who had threatened to rape his daughter.
