Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor who is quite active on social media has often voices his opinion on social media.
The actor recently opined that the government of India must declare Emergency to battle the coronavirus outbreak.

He took to Twitter to express his views and wrote, “Dear fellow Indians. We must and have to declare an EMERGENCY. Look at what’s happening all over the country! If the TV is to believed, people are beating policemen and medical staff! There is no other way to contain the situation. It is only good for all of us. Panic is setting in,”

Soon he was slammed by the netizens as they felt the actor doesn’t understand how things have become difficult for the poor people. One of the users wrote, “If the TV is to believed “ – Sir, that’s a huge assumption in 21st century, right next to blind superstition.” Whereas another user commented, “As a public figure you should be more responsible than this.”
