RIP! Legendary filmmaker Basu Chatterjee passes away

Filmmaker Basu Chatterjee, who directed films such as ‘Rajnigandha’, ‘Baaton Baaton Mein’,’Ek Ruka Hua Faisla’ ‘Chitchor’, ‘Priyatama’ has passes away today in Mumbai.

As per reports, he was suffering from age-related ailments. He was 93. His last rites will be performed at 2 pm at Santacruz crematorium.

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit took to Twitter to share the sad news. He tweeted, “I am extremely grieved to inform you all the demise of Legendary Filmmaker Basu Chatterjee ji . His last rites will be performed today at Santacruz creamation at 2 pm. It’s a great loss to the industry. Will miss you Sir. #RIPBasuChaterjee.”(sic)

Basu has also directed many Bengali films such as Hothat Brishti, Hochcheta Ki and Hothat Shei Din.
