Papon’s mother and noted singer Archana Mahanta passes away

Bollywood playback singer Papon’s mother and Assams noted Folk singer Archana Mahanta Passes away on Thursday due to prolonged illness, she was suffering from brain stroke and has been admitted to the private nursing home in Guwahati.

The Acclaimed singer was going through treatment at the health city hospital in Guwahati. Archana Mahanta and her late husband Khagen Mahanta has contributed a lot to promote and preserve the Assamese folk music. She was the mother of Bollywood’s known playback singer Papon.
