Passengers of Vande Bharat find Insects in food on Vande Bharat
Congress MP Manickam Tagore has raised question over declining quality of food served on Vande Bharat Express when a passengers reported finding cockroaches and insects in their meals. Vande Bharat Express was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi, on which Manickam took a dig and said “mere Rs.50000 fine” should be imposed on the contractor and called for stricter action towards it.

IRCTC responds over it
After passengers control, the food sample from the the Tirunelveli-Chennai Egmore Vande Bharat Express was found to be contaminated. IRCTC responds to it and fined the contractor for Rs. 50000. Brindavan Food Products, and further action is being pursued. The railway is also conducting a detailed investigation into the source of the contamination.
