Soon after the news of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s demise, condolences started pouring in on Twitter, not just from the political but also the film industry too.
Stars from both Bollywood and South-Indian film industry including names like Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Shatrughan Sinha and music maestro A R Rahman on Tuesday mourned the death of India’s ‘Iron lady’.
Taking to Twitter, the celebrities expressed their grief over the passing away of the politician. But veteran actor Kamal Hassan wrote something unacceptable on the micro-blogging site which left twitteratis furious.
Kamal Haasan posted ,”Deep sympathy for those who depend on Jayalalithaa.”

Haasan’s curt message didn’t go down well with ‘Amma’ supporters and they slammed the actor for the same.
Jayalalithaa was declared dead at 11:30pm last night. Apollo Hospital, in its statement, said, “With indescribable grief, we announce the sad demise of our esteemed honourable chief minister of Tamil Nadu Puratchi Thalaivi Amma at 11:30 PM today, 5-12-2016.”
