The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Committee of Administrators (COA) has doubled the annual retainer fee for the players in central contracts, while increasing the match fee.
The Indian Cricket Players Salaries system is divided into three class A, B, and C respectively. The grading system is especially for the players who perform well and can be promoted or demoted on the basis of their performance. The grading list is centrally controlled and observed under the BCCI.
Grade A, B and C contracted players will now receive amounts of Rs. 2 crore, Rs. 1 crore and Rs. 50 lakh per annum, respectively.

Out-of-favour opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been demoted to Grade C in the list of contracted players, which was updated by the BCCI on Wednesday. He had earlier been listed in Grade B.
On the other hand, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja and Murali Vijay were promoted to Grade A where they join MS Dhoni, skipper Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ajinkya Rahane.
Meanwhile, Suresh Raina, who has been struggling with indifferent form, couldn’t find a place in any of the three rungs of the BCCI central contract.

Grade A (Rs 2 crore)
Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, R Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja, Murali Vijay.
Grade B (Rs 1 crore)
Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Wriddhiman Saha, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuvraj Singh.
Grade C (Rs 50 lakh)
