After playing bubbly and girl-next-door characters in most of her films, Shraddha Kapoor is all set to play a character with grey shades for the first time in her career in Apoorva Lakhia’s “Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai”.
The film is based on the life of India’s most wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar.
Today, Shraddha shared a picture which featured two of her looks from the movie. Whereas one look sees her in a yellow salwar kameez and captures Haseena’s younger days. The other look features Kapoor as Haseena’s older version looking raw and gritty in a black salwar kameez. The difference in both the looks is very evident and Shraddha’s physical transformation is impressive.
She caption the picture as “Younger & older. Thank you Apu sir for giving me the opportunity to play this character & for holding my hand through & through. #HASEENA”

Haseena was one of Dawood’s closest sisters and was a very influential figure herself. The biopic is based on her life from her teenage years up untill her adult life. Shraddha’s real-life brother Siddhanth Kapoor will be portraying the role of Dawood Ibrahim.
Shraddha will portray Haseena’s life from being a 17-year-old teenager to being the 43-year-old Queen of Mumbai.
“Haseena” is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and is produced by Nahid Khan. The movie is slated to release on July 14, 2017.
