The controversial show had opened its doors to the masses last year for the tenth season of the show, and the participants comprised a mix of celebrities and general public at the time. The winner of “Bigg Boss 10″, surprisingly, was a commoner Manveer Gurjar, a farmer, took home the trophy and became a celebrity in turn.

Raj Nayak, COO, Viacom 18, today shared a video on Twitter making the big announcement.

The 25 seconds long video was captioned by Nayak as, “Here we go all @BiggBoss fans. Auditions open for #Biggboss season 11 with @BeingSalmanKhan Presented by @iamappyfizz ! @nadiachauhan.”

Raj Nayak’s Tweet also clarified the rumours surrounding superstar host Salman Khan. Like every year, it was rumoured that Salman wouldn’t be part of the next season, and might host a reality show on a rival channel. But his tweet refutes all rumours.

The video invites commoners to register for Bigg Boss 11 through Colors’ app and upload their videos. Those selected will get a chance to make a name for themselves.

Last year, several commoners like Priyanka Jagga, Swami Om, Nitibha Kaul, Navin Prakash were a part of the show.

The new season will be following the format of the previous season, which means that both celebrities and people from everyday life will be invited to be a part of the show. “Bigg Boss 10″ was quite popular with the viewers because for the first time the show had a mix of celebrities and commoners, who were called as Indiawale.

With Salman Khan seemingly ready to host the next season, looks like his arrival back on television is just a matter of time now.
