Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who announced that he is going to be a part of J P Dutta’s next venture Paltan, has walked out of the movie just 24 hours before the team left to shoot in Ladakh.
The 41-year-old actor, who made his Bollywood debut with J P Dutta’s 2000 movie Refugee and later starred in his films like LOC Kargil and Umrao Jaan, has quit the project for reasons unknown.
Confirming the same, Nidhi Dutta, producer of JP films, said, “Abhishek Bachchan is no longer part of Paltan for personal reasons best known to him. It has come as a shock to us as this happened less than 24 hours before our unit left to shoot in Ladakh.”[ecp code=”4″]
“But we also believe that especially in the movies we make it’s the soldiers sitting up there that choose who will play them and recreate their lives on screen. Nevertheless we wish him luck with his future endeavors. We are already in Ladakh filming with our entire cast and crew and Army personnel. We will announce the actor who is replacing Abhishek in the film soon,” she added.
Abhishek had also worked with JP Dutta in ‘Refugee’, ‘LOC Kargil’ and ‘Umrao Jaan’.
Produced by JP Films and directed by Dutta, the film is scheduled for a summer 2018 release.
