Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has taken a step towards gender equality, saying his assets will be shared equally between his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Shweta Nanda, after his death.
The actor on Thursday tweeted an image which said, “When I die, the assets I shall leave behind, shall be shared equally between my daughter and my son #genderequality #WeAreEqual.” Big B has two children — actor Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Shweta Nanda. He captioned the picture as, “#WeAreEqual .. and #genderequality … the picture says it all !!”

The actor, who is also a United Nations ambassador for the ‘Girl Child’, has often campaigned for the cause on both public and private platforms.
This move of publically advocating gender equality is being looked upon as the actor’s initiative to inspire his large fan following in the country to do the same.
On the work front, the actor will soon be seen in Sarkar 3. The film will hit the screens on April 7. The film also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Jackie Shroff, Yami Gautam, Amit Sadh and Ronit Roy.
