After Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Ayesha Shroff, now bollywood actress Udita Goswami’s name come up for being allegedly involved in illegally procuring call records of her director husband Mohit Suri, with the help of an advocate in 2014.

Today, the Crime Branch of Thane police recorded the statement of the actress for over one hour. She was accompanied by her husband there.

Senior Police Inspector Nitin Thakre recorded Goswami’s statement, said Thane police PRO Sukhada Narkar.

In her statement, the actress revealed that the call records of her husband was indeed given to her by her lawyer who allegedly suggested that she review the call records and check if she has any doubts about any particular phone numbers.

DCP, crime branch, Thane, Abhishekh Trimukhe, revealed to the daily, “We have recorded the statements, and on the basis of their statements, we will be investigating the matter further. They have cooperated with us.”

The crime branch has arrested 12 people in the CDR case which was registered in Januaray after the police learned that some detectives had been procuring the CDRs illegally and were charging between Rs 20,000 and Rs 50,000 depending on the client.
