Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy starrer ‘Gold’ has been released in cinemas. The film is based on the life of former hockey player Balbir Singh.

Story of the movie: The story of the film revolves around Tapan Das (Akshay Kumar), coach to the British Indian Hockey team. Tapan and his team harbours the dream of playing for free India one day. Hence Tapan Das along with his team take an oath that one day they will play for their own independent nation-India and proudly stand up for their own nation’s national anthem. But, because of his alcoholism, he gets fired from the team. But, a new hope arises for Tapan Das, when the announcement of India getting its Independence and Olympics finally happening in London. He goes all out to form a team that will bring the Gold for independent India. But, the news of partition divides the team and the dream that Tapan Das saw. How Tapan manages chase something that’s impossible to achieve. For this, you have to watch the film.

Star Performance: Akshay Kumar has delivered a brilliant performance as Tapan Das. Apart from Akshay, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Singh, Amit Sadhu and newcomer Sunny Kaushal has also done a good job. While, Mouni Roy who makes her bollywood debut from the film has done justice to her role. 

Music Direction: The film’s music is good. Songs like Naino Ne Baandhi, Ghar Layenge Gold and Chad Gayi Hai are already hit among the audience.

Direction: The film’s direction is good. Director Reema Kagti’s hard work is clearly seen in the film. The screenplay and the story of the film is good. The film has brilliant technical values and the music, picturization, dialogues, costumes and makeup are the highlights on the technical front.
