Akshay Kumar apologises for waving the Indian flag upside down at Women’s World Cup finale

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was cheering for Indian women cricket team at the finals of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017, which was held yesterday in London.

Well, the actor found himself in the eye of a storm after he posted a picture of himself waving the Indian flag upside down.

He posted a picture on Twitter, and within minutes, received a lot of flak. Knowing the superstars’s love and dedication towards the country and the armed forces, it didn’t come as a surprise that he immediately apologized for his mistake.

The actor deleted the picture and posted a message which read, “Extending my sincerest apology for violating the code of conduct for the tricolor. Didn’t mean to offend anyone, the picture has been removed.”

 

Before the match started, Akshay Kumar posted a video sharing his excitement to watch the game and also narrated how he ran barefoot to catch a train so that he could be on time for the match.

On the work front, Akshay is currently promoting his film ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ in London. He is also shooting for his next film ‘Gold’ which marks the Bollywood debut of television star Mouni Roy.
