Akshay Kumar auctioning ‘Rustom’ uniform for charity!

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar decides to put up his naval uniform for auction, which he donned in the film ‘Rustom’. The proceedings from the bid will support the cause of animal welfare.

On Thursday, the actor tweeted a photograph from the film. Alongside the photograph, it was written: “Win the original Naval uniform I wore in the movie ‘Rustom’. Bidding closes May 26.”

The actor captioned the pic as  “Hi all. I’m thrilled to announce that you can bid to win the actual naval officer uniform I wore in ‘Rustom’. Auction’s proceeds will support the cause of animal rescue and welfare. Place your bid at https://bollywoodpapa.com//www.SaltScout.com.”

Rustom is a period crime thriller/courtroom drama starring Akshay Kumar as a Parsi Indian naval officer. The events of the film were inspired by the famous 1959 Nanavati murder case which became one of the last court cases in India to be heard as a jury trial.

The film also stars actress Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta. For his performance in the film, Akshay Kumar received the National Film Award for Best Actor at the 64th National Film Awards.
