Akshay Kumar takes break from ‘Kesari’ shoot to help villagers and digs pits to solve water crisis in Satara!

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is known for his social causes. Even his films like PadMan, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha also bear a social message. He’s being called the star that takes up causes.

The actor is currently shooting for his upcoming film ‘Kesari’ in Wai since January. During his frequent trips, Akshay has been keenly studying the topography and climatic conditions of the place and also been interacting with the locals. In one of his conversations, Akki heard about Pimpode Budruk, a village, which had been facing a water crisis.

Than the actor decided to something about the situation. The actor took a break from his shoot and helped an entire community in building water harvesting pits.

 He was joined by the villagers who were happy to receive help from the superstar.

He also donated Rs 25 lakh to help build pits and also helped in digging them.

The village, with a population of around 10,000 people, has been facing a severe drought. An insider, who accompanied Akshay on his trip to Pimpode Budruk,said that the locals were happy with the actor’s participation and the crowd cheered when Akshay said that he didn’t want them to have water in their eyes, but in their taps instead.

Well, this gesture of Akshay is truly heart-touching.
