According to reports, The caller threatened them that if they fail to pay the amount, he would kill Alia Bhatt and her mother Soni Razdan.

Initially, Mahesh Bhatt thought it to be a prank but after threat call, he also received few text messages and it was then that Mahesh Bhatt informed police about it.

Police also informed that security was increased around the Bhatt residence in Juhu. However, things are under control. Mahesh Bhatt tweeted about it and thanked Maharashtra Police.

This is not for the first time when Bhatt faced similar threat calls in past. In September 7, 2007, his daughter Pooja Bhatt and brother Mukesh received threat calls from a person identifying himself as fugitive gangster Ravi Pujari for having made the film Dhoka which tells the story of a police officer and his terrorist wife.
