After Sonu Sood, now Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has come forward to help the workers who are stuck in Maharashtra.
He organised 10 buses for migrant workers in Mumbai to travel to Uttar Pradesh.
A fleet of 10 buses carrying around 275 migrant workers were flagged off for places like Allahabad, Banaras and Gorakhpur. The buses left from Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Race Course on Friday (May 29) afternoon.

The travellers were also provided with proper food and drinking facilities during the journey.
The buses were flagged off by Suhail Khandwani Managing Trustee, Mahim Dargah, and Trustee, Haji Ali dargah, and Rajesh Yadav, Managing director AB Corporation Ltd.
Sabir Sayed, Mahim Dargah’s IT-Director said, “Big B and both the dargahs are sponsored meals for 4500 needy people since the time of lockdown. Workers, who are leaving Mumbai, are being given footwear as many of them developed sores and blisters on their legs while walking bare feet in the sun . We are providing footwear daily to 1500 people. We have also made arrangement to give dry fruits to the workers going to their villagers.”

Apart from this, the legendary actor has also distributed over 10,000 ration kits to people and 20,000 PPE kits, masks, sanitisers to hospitals, and cops in Mumbai.
