Few days ago, Sara Ali Khan’s mother Amrita Singh was in the news over property dispute. Amrita and her cousin sister Tahira staked claim over four acres of prime property in Clement Town area of Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Reports suggest that Amrita along with her septuagenarian aunt Tahira approached the court to dismiss a plea by Tahira’s brother Madhusudhan for a 16,000 square feet property.
Amrita Singh wins legal battle over property
On Tuesday, as Amrita reached the court with Tahira, the latter approached the court of civil judge Ramesh Singh to dismiss her brother’s case. She had been fighting the legal battle with her brother Madhusudan, who died of cancer recently. She requested the court that since her brother was no more, the case should be dismissed.
As there was nobody to challenge the decision, Amrita and Tahira won the legal battle. Now, the next step is to approach the district magistrate court to complete the formalities of transferring the property to Tahira and Amrita’s name.
On January 20, Sara and Amrita had approached Clementown police station and claimed that the property belonged to them.
