After producing films like NH10, Phillauri and Pari, now Anushka Sharma is all set to produce a web series based on rape-accused Tarun Tejpal’s novel The Story of My Assassins.

The Story of My Assassins is a crime novel based on actual events and follows a senior journalist as he sets out to investigate his would-be killers, inadvertently exposing the modern Indian underbelly. Hailing it as a “complex, dark, exhilarating novel” Jason Burke of The Guardian noted that the story was “told with the eye of a journalist but with the verve of a novelist.”
Hardik Mehta, who is scripting the show had revealed that it will be a “Delhi-based investigation drama”, “tentatively titled Assassin” and is “along the lines of the US show True Detective.”
