In an interview she speak about how she was sexually abused as a child at the age of 9 to Humans Of Bombay. She also said, “For me, it’s not a one day headline, it’s something that’s a reality I have lived with for a long time.”

Anurag Kashyap has also been a victim of the same as a child. He revealed of being a child abuse victim for 11 long years. In an interview sometime back, the prolific filmmaker said that he had forgiven the man who abused him.
