Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Armaan Kohli has once again in the news for all the wrong reasons. The actor has been arrested for possessing 41 bottles of Scotch whisky, all of which are of foreign brands.
According to the law, no person is allowed to possess hard liquor bottles like rum, scotch whiskey, etc.more than 12 units for a month. In addition to that, a person is allowed to bring only two bottles from abroad at a time.
Excise officials told the daily that they are still in the process of figuring out how much the bottles cost as they were purchased from abroad.
Armaan Kohli gets arrested
Senior excise officials said other than the 41 Scotch bottles, Armaan had 35 bottles of Scotch that had been consumed at private parties.
Under section 63(E) of Bombay Liquor Prohibition Act, 1949, the actor could be jailed for up to three years, with a fine to be decided by court, if found guilty.
Well, this is not the first time that Armaan has been in legal trouble. In June this year, Kohli was arrested by the Santacruz police for assaulting his former girlfriend Neeru Randhawa, who later withdrew the case against him.
