Ayushmann Khurrana’s much-awaited film Article 15 which is inspired from the Badaun rape and murder case, seems to be heading for trouble.
Yes, the Brahmin community in Uttar Pradesh has objected the film stating that the portrayal the accused men as Brahmins in the film is going to bring defame to the community.

The film is based on the Indian Constitution’s ‘Article 15’, which prohibits people from discriminating anyone on the basis of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. It is inspired from real life events.
In the film, Ayushmann will be seen playing the role of a cop.

Talking of the film, ‘Article 15’ is an investigative drama written by Gaurav Solanki and Anubhav Sinha. Apart from Ayushmann, it also stars Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Manoj Pahwa.
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film is set to release on 28th June 2019.
