TV actress Juhi Aslam who is s best known for her role of  “Bharti” in NDTV Imagine’s show ‘Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo’ is seen in ‘Badho Bahu’ nowadays. Juhi is portraying the character of ‘Chhoto Bua‘ on the show.

Famous as the name of Bharti, 3.5 feet young Juhi Aslam never dreamed that she would become an actress. However, luck wanted to make her an actress, so she got the first break as lead actress on TV.

Juhi got the first acting break in 2010 with ‘Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo’ . The story of this show was based on Bharti Chauhan i.e. Juhi who belongs to a very rich family. It’s a first of sorts not only for Juhi, but for Indian television as well! Never before has a protagonist been a dwarf both in reel and real life. With this show Juhi become the household name and she started getting recognized as Bharti. 

Juhi wanted to become a Doctor…

Juhi belongs from Shikohabad, near Agra. She doing Bachelor’s degree in Science. Juhi told in an interview that she wanted to become a doctor. Juhi said “The casting co-coordinator spotted me outside my college and asked me whether I wanted to act. I thought he was joking, so I ignored him. But he asked me again, and wanted to meet my parents. I couldn’t believe that I had got an offer to act in a TV show! My mother was unsure about me acting on television, but my father and grandmother felt I will get an exposure on TV”.

“My first audition was recorded on a mobile phone. Later, I was asked to come for a proper audition. I am not a trained actress, so obviously I was very nervous facing the camera”, she added.

Juhi’s father run a footwear shop…

Juhi’s father run a footwear shop. She has always been in the joint family. Juhi belongs to a normal family. She lives with her parents, brothers and grandmother.

Life’s not been easy, she relates and many a times she has cried asking God ‘why she was so different from the others’. “Wherever I went I had people looking at me curiously and that made me sad, ” she says. But now all of that is a thing of the past and the person in front of all is a confident woman, who believes in herself and her abilities. “What I thought was my drawback is my biggest strength today.

I’ve reached this level, bagged this role only because of my height and I am very happy. I would like to tell people like me or those who feel they have something lacking in them to just believe in themselves. Bas kucch kar dikhane ka hausla hona chaihiye,” she smiles.
