‘BB11’ contestant Zubair Khan arrested for trying to extort Rs 1 cr from woman in Dawood’s name!

Bigg Boss 11 contestant Zubair Khan, who offended many housemates with his rough language at the start and got evicted from the Bigg Boss 11 house for his indecent behaviour with the housemates, is back in the news as he gets arrested by Mumbai crime branch.


Yes, On Thursday, Mumbai crime branch arrested Bigg Boss 11 contestant Zubair Khan, for allegedly trying to extort Rs 1 crore from a 31-year-old businesswoman in the name of underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim.

According to a portal, Police arrested Khan after they found that he was constantly in touch with one of the earlier accused. On tracking his call records, they found that he had also received several calls from Pakistan and Dubai at the same time the complainant had received the threat calls.

Khan was produced in the court on Friday from where he has been remanded in police custody till Monday (February 26).

In November, the Khar police had registered an FIR after Shabnam Shaikh, who runs a garment business, alleged that a person, who identified himself as Usman Choudhary, called her from Karachi and demanded Rs 1 crore on behalf of Chhota Shakeel, Dawood Ibrahim, and Fahim Machmach. The woman also claimed in her statement that the accused threatened her of dire consequences if the demand is not fulfilled.

Sheikh had also told police that she had started receiving multiple calls from Pakistan-based numbers after she filed a cheating complaint against former Bigg Boss contested Zubair Khan.

During his stint in Bigg Boss house, he introduced himself as Dawood’s late sister, Haseena Parkar’s son-in-law. He also claimed that he was one of the producers of Haseena Parkar, the film made with Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. But it turns out that he is a fraud.
