A Jodhpur court on Thursday convicted actor Salman Khan in the 20-year-old Blackbuck poaching case. While other actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam Kothari have been acquitted.
The court found the Dabangg actor guilty of all the charges under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act. He has also been convicted of possessing a gun with an expired licence.
The quantum of punishment is yet to be announced, but is expected later in the day.

Salman Khan is accused of killing two blackbucks on October 2, 1998 in Kankani village in Jodhpur while shooting Hum Saath Saath Hain. Salman’s co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, and Tabu, who were also shooting for the film, are the co-accused in the case.
He has been convicted under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, which carries maximum punishment of six years and minimum one-year jail term.
