Bollywood actress Amy Jackson to make her American TV debut with ‘Supergirl’

Actress Amy Jackson,  who is awaiting the release of 2.0, will be seen making her debut in American showbiz with the third season of superhero action-adventure television series “Supergirl”.

Amy will be seen playing Imra Ardeen, a.k.a Saturn Girl in the third season of the series.  Her character will be kind, smart, and a strong-willed hero who uses her telekinetic ability to help those in need.

The actress on Monday night tweeted: “Finally! So now you know what I’ve been getting up to in Canada over the past couple of weeks! ‘Supergirl’ new recruit Saturn Girl.”

 Imra Adreen was born on Titan, one of Saturn’s moons. She will arrive on Earth to help Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl in the fight with one of the biggest threats in National City. In the comics, Saturn Girl is one of the founding members of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st century. She was also the first female character to lead a super-team in comic book history.

Supergirl, played by Melissa Benoist will be getting a helping hand from Saturn Girl, reports deadline.com.

Amy, who began her career as a model and has since worked in Hindi and southern cinema. In India, she will next be seen starring in “2.0”, the sequel to “Robot”.

The series, based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros Television.
