PM Narendra Modi imposed a 21-day nationwide lockdown to stop the spread of Coronavirus. He also announced the creation of the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund to fight against the deadly virus.
Till now, several bollywood celebs come forward to donate for the cause of combating COVID-19.
The latest ones to join the league are Kareena Kapoor- Saif Ali Khan, Rohit Shetty and Lata Mangeshkar.

On Instagram, Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a post pledging her support. Kareena’s post read, “At difficult times like these, we need to come together and help each other. We both have taken steps to do just that and have pledged our support to UNICEF, GIVE INDIA and the International Association for Human Values (IAHV). We urge those of you who can to do the same. United we stand. Jai Hind Kareena, Saif & Taimur.”
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty extended his support to them by donating Rs 51 lakh to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit shared a video on his Twitter account, thanking him for his contribution to the industry. “The Federation of Western India Cine Employees is really thankful to leading film producer and director Rohit Shetty from the core of their hearts for donating Rs 51 lakh to the kitty of the federation to help all those daily wagers of the film and television industry belonging to various crafts,” Pandit says in the clip.
“Rohit, you have been an inspiration to us. You have always been helpful to us and whenever we have knocked at your door, you have never let us down. God bless you and all the best,” he adds.

Singer Lata Mangeshkar announced on Twitter that she was donating Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund as part of her “duty to help your government during this difficult time”.
“I have a humble request to all that we should help the government as much as possible in the fight against the government,” the veteran singer wrote.

Madhuri Dixit took to Instagram to share the post. She wrote, “All of us should join hands to win this war for humanity. Doing our bit by donating to the PM CARES Fund & CM’s Relief Fund. Let’s come out of this stronger. Love Madhuri & Ram.”
Earlier, actors such as Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Akshay Kumar, Kapil Sharma, Shilpa Shetty, Rajkummar Rao, and Varun Dhawan. Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt and Sara Ali Khan also recently announced their support to aid the battle against COVID-19.
