The censor board has asked the makers of the film to delete the word ‘intercourse’ from one of the mini trails, which was released on YouTube recently.

In the mini trail, Anushka Sharma was seen making Shah Rukh Khan sign an indemnity bond just in case intercourse happened between them. CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani had issues with this word and he asked the makers to delete it. In an interview with a leading daily, he said, “We have granted a U/A to the trailer on the condition of deletion of the dialogue about the intercourse. But they have not come back to us with the deletion. So in principle, the trailer has not been passed yet.”

Despite Chief CBFC’s Pahlaj agreement, the trailer has been telecasted on television and news channel.  The uncensored video has been aired and Pahlaj says it’s against the law. “They’ve uploaded the uncut trailer on YouTube. The CBFC cannot stop content on the Internet. But we can and will stop the broadcast of the uncensored footage on television. The trailer has been picked up from the web and is being aired on various news channels. This is completely against the law, and we plan to take the strictest action against the channels which have aired the censored content from Imtiaz Ali’s film.”

Jab Harry Met Sejal” features SRK playing a tourist guide, Harinder Singh Nehra, while Anushka plays a Gujarati girl, Sejal Parikh. The film is the third collaboration of Shah Rukh and Anushka after “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” and “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, “Jab Harry Met Sejal” is all slated to release on August 4, 2017.
