‘Pehredaar Piya Di’, a show which has been in the headlines since the airing of its first episode, is in talks again as the makers have decided to come up with a new season.
The makers of “Pehredaar Piya Ki” told earlier that they are working on a new season of the show that will take the original slot on Sony TV.
The show starring Tejaswi Prakash in the lead role is making a comeback but this time the title is ‘Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya’

Tejasswi has already started shooting for the show and Rohit Suchanti will be playing the grown-up Ratan Maan Singh. The star cast has already begun shooting in parts of Rajasthan.
Giving a new spin to the plot, Tejasswi will be seen playing the role of Diya and the story will revolve around her and the sacrifices she makes.
According to sources, The show has taken a leap so Ratan will play a man in his 20s and Diya is in her 30s. Post leap, the story will revolve around the young Ratan Singh, who returns after completing his studies in a foreign university. It will be interesting to see how Ratan’s child-marriage will affect his and Diya’s lives post leap. Tejasswi’s character will be shown more matured and she will now play the role of a 30 year-old-woman.
For those who have come in late, Pehredaar Piya Ki, which had Tejasswi and Afaan Khan in the lead, received lot of backlash for the story line wherein a nine-year-old boy Ratan (Afaan Khan), gets married to a 18-year-old Diya (Tejasswi Prakash). The show was recently shutdown after the pressure created by I&B Minister Smriti Zubin Irani.
