Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey have wrapped up the Delhi schedule of their upcoming film Chhapaak.
Director Meghna Gulzar announced the news by sharing pictures of herself with Deepika Padukone, Vikrant Massey and the entire crew of the film.

She captioned the pic as, “Happily halfway done! Delhi schedule wrap for team #chhapaak @deepikapadukone @vikrantmassey87 @foxstarhindi” (sic).

Several pictures and videos from the sets of the film have been doing the rounds since Deepika kick-started her shooting.
Deepika will be seen playing the role of Malti – an acid attack survivor in the film. Apart from her, Vikrant Massey will also be seen in the movie. He is playing her partner in the movie.

The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, who was attacked at the tender age of 15, by a 32-year-old man, who had one-sided attraction towards her. She now runs an NGO that works for the acid attack survivors and is also a proud owner of a cafe which is managed by these survivors.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film will release on January 10, 2020.
