Forum. The reason is the repetitive story-line. It has been more than a year that the storyline of Kumkum Bhagya has been repeated time and again. Despite fans having expressed their disappointment with the show on Twitter several times, the makers seem to be unperturbed. What is more surprising is that the show continues to garner high Television Rating Points (TRPs) every week.

For three years, it is revolving around how Tanu (Leena Jumani) tries to stop Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) and Pragya (Sriti Jha) from becoming one. Come to think of it, Tanu was pregnant for almost two years.

And now, an India-Forums report said that a set of irked fans have decided to take action against the show. They have lodged a complained with at the National Consumer Complaint Forum requesting them to put an end to the show.

Now, this is the first time that people have complained against a TV show in such a higher court.

When Bollywood Life got in touch with Shikha Singh, who plays Aaliya, she said she was unaware about any such grievance against the serial. “I really don’t know about it. I am hearing it for the first time,” she said.

When we pointed out to her that it is because of the boring story-line, she said, “Then, people can stop watching (laughs).”

Produced by Ekta Kapoor, Kumkum Bhagya is the story of Pragya and Abhi. The success of the show also sparked off a spin-off, Kundali Bhagya.
