The longest running show on Indian television, “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”, completed successful eight years on air on Star Plus and it is still a top rated show.
Yesterday, a cake was cut on the set to celebrate the occasion. Rajan Shahi’s unit is like one happy family and it is not easy to sustain for so many years and still maintain the popularity of the show.

The maker Rajan Shahi is very happy with the growth in show’s popularity. Talking about the show’s success Shahi says,”The uniqueness about YRKKH is that it has evolved over the time. There is certain positivist in the texture that the soul of it remains always the same and touches the audience. The old and the new cast and team are all rejuvenated and positively working towards the show”.

The show co-incidentally is also the longest running show on Indian television and audiences still love it.
The best part is that it has no negative characters and yet it retains the audience’s interest who treat the characters of the show like their family members.
