Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to tie the knot at Lake Como in the presence of their family members and close friends. But, do you know, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh insure their wedding.
Yes, you read that right. A Delhi-based state-run non-life-insurer Oriental Insurance Company (OIC) has issued the insurance policy.
As per a report in Pinkvilla, the couple have taken insurance for four days from November 12 to 16. The firm did confirm that they are safeguarding the wedding but did not disclose the amount.

The policy will include the loss and damage to the insured property due to fire, theft, explosion, aircraft damage, earthquake, water damage, burglary, hold-up, robbery in transit to and fro, flood, storm and typhoon. It doesn’t cover things like event, location, public liability and rentals.
Commenting on the same, the deputy general manager of OIC (Mumbai), Anil Srivastava said in an official statement, “The policy was not a full-fledged wedding insurance policy as it covered only the jewellery items being used for the wedding ceremony. Its real value can be assessed at the time of claim only.”

The couple will have two wedding ceremonies – one will follow Sindhi rituals, while the other will be according to South Indian tradition. Afterwards, the couple will be hosting two receptions in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, the celebrations are in full swing and even Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan are all set to reach the venue today.
