Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is currently shooting for her upcoming film Chhapaak where the actress will play the role of acid attack survivor.
On Wednesday, Deepika was mobbed by fans as she was shooting for a scene near Janpath in Delhi.

Clad in a yellow kurta and blue denims, Deepika was spotted shooting for Chhapaak at a store in Delhi. Soon pictures and videos of Deepika filming in the capital made their way to social media. A large crowd was seen waiting to catch a glimpse of the actress.

The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, who was attacked at the tender age of 15, by a 32-year-old man, who had one-sided attraction towards her. She now runs an NGO that works for the acid attack survivors and is also a proud owner of a cafe which is managed by these survivors.
Apart from Deepika, Chhapaak also features actor Vikrant Massey in an important role.
The film is jointly being produced by Fox Star Studios, Deepika Padukone’s own KA Entertainment and Meghna Gulzar’s Mriga Films.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film will release on January 10, 2020.
