Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s much-anticipated wedding took place on November 14 and 15, 2018 in Lake Como, Italy. But, it seems like controversy seem to knock DeepVeer’s wedding.
An Italian Sikh organisation has alleged that the Anand Karaj ceremony that took place on 15 November, violated the Sikh code of conduct.
Akal Takht acting Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh said the matter would be taken up with the five high priests as and when a complaint was received.

The ceremony took place at Villa del Balbianell. While performing it, the Guru Granth Sahib was shifted from the Brescia gurdwara to the villa. Indian Sikh Community Italy president Sukhdev Singh Kang said that Akal Takht ‘hukumnama’ strictly prohibits shifting Guru Granth Sahib to a place other than a gurdwara.
He added that his organisation would write to Akal Takht Jathedar demanding an investigation. “It was a major lapse on the part of the gurdwara management,” Kang added.
