TV’s popular TV show ‘Tarak Mehta’s Ulta Chashma’ has made it’s place in the Top 10 show on TV for the last several years.
Disha Vakani, the lead actress of ‘Taarak Mehta ….’, is pregnant. The actress, who got married to chartered accountant Mayur Pandya last year, is currently on a break due to her pregnancy. And while it is good news for her, there might be some bad news in store for her fans. There have been reports doing rounds in the TV industry that Disha might leave the show.
But hold on, the actress will not quit the show.
Earlier it was report that ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ actress Giaa Manek might replace Disha. Disha, who is pregnant with her first baby decided to take a maternity leave, obviously, but the makers have come up with a way to not replace her. A source told Midday, “The makers don’t want to replace Disha. She is an integral part of the show. They will concentrate on the other characters in her absence.”

There were rumors that ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ actress Giaa Manek might replace Disha. Show’s Producer Asit Modi opens up on the same and said, “Disha is working at the moment, so, we’ve not thought of the next step.”
The producer also added that he is not aware of her last day yet and that they are making the most of her availability.
He further told Mid-Day that, “This ensures that she doesn’t have to keep returning to the set. Makers have taken close-ups shots and will also arrange shoots at her home.”
The actress has a huge fan following thanks to the hit show & she has been entertaining viewers for a long time now. Apart from TV shows, Disha has also been a part of films like ‘Jodha Akbar’, ‘Love Story 2050’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Mangal Pandey: The Rising’ among others.
Disha got married to Mayur Pandya in 2016 & are going strong since then.
