Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik recently celebrated his 37th birthday on Feburary 1. The cricketer was born in 1981 in Sialkot, Pakistan.

On 12 April 2010, Malik married international Indian tennis player Sania Mirza in an Islamic wedding ceremony at the Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad. The duo met at Australia, where Sania went on to play the Australian Open.

But do you know that Sania Mirza is a second wife of Shoaib Malik. Yes, you heard it right.

 Reports emerged that Malik was already married to another Hyderabad girl, Ayesha Siddiqui. However, Malik denied the allegations but eventually confirmed the marriage when the girl’s family released marriage certificate as a proof. Then Shoaib divorced his first wife and got married to Sania.

Not only this, even Sania was earlier engaged to his childhood friend Sohrab Mirza. But, the pressure from Sohrab’s family become a wall between them. Sohrab’s father Adil Mirza did not want Sania to play tennis. 

After the engagement, Sania went on to play Australian Open. During this she met Shoaib. When they fall for each other Sania broke her engagement with Sohrab and decided to get married with Shoaib.

When people came to know about their wedding decision, they labelled their decision as an impulsive and a rash wedding. Not only this, the couple also received several threats to call off the wedding.

The couple went through all of this and emerged even stronger. They went ahead with their decision and got married on April 12, 2010 . Not only did they marry each other, but even proved their unconditional love for each other.
