Ekta Kapoor’s romantic saga ‘Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2′ is in the news since the promo of the show has released. The show launched in 2001 and starred Shweta Tiwari and Cezanne Khan in the lead roles as Prerna and Anurag.
In no time, the serial with a Bengali backdrop went on to become a massive hit with the audience lapping up on the romance of the couple. While, Urvashi Dholakia played the vicious Komolika, and her style and swag made her character an iconic one.
This is known to all that Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan will be seen playing the leads in the show.
Recently, in an interview, Shweta Tiwari reveals that her daughter Palak was approached to essay the role of Prerna, but she opted out of it.
“Yes, I would have told her to go ahead and do it. In fact, everybody was saying, even from Balaji (production house) that she should do it. It was she who said ‘No mom, I don’t think I can do a daily soap and work day in and day out. I cannot do that at this point in time.” Shweta said.
Well now, Ekta Kapoor who is a close friend of Shweta Tiwari has opened up about the same and rubbishes the rumours of Shweta Tiwari’s daughter Palak being approached for ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’.
Ekta shared the link of an article mentioning the same on Twitter and wrote, “Aaah reaaaaaly?????????? How come I don’t know“
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shweta is all set to make her comeback after a long time, with “Jab We Separated”, a production penned and directed by veteran Rakesh Bedi.
It will be staged in New Delhi on September 8 and September 9.
