Finally, the makers of the show have found the new Tappu, and he is none other than a TV Actor Raj Anadkat. The young actor, who was last seen in serial, “Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka”, will be seen playing a grown up Tapu.

While speaking about his new project, Raj said, “I had been watching the show and I have seen Tappu growing up into a young adult. This character is very strong and positive. I am grateful that Asit Ji (show maker Asit Modi) has given me this chance.”

In a conversation with Dailybhaskar.com, Asit Modi said, “Raj is a very good looking, talented and a hard working boy. We had auditioned many boys for this role and finally found our Tapu in him. In the coming tracks, we are planning to focus on Tapu Sena and their teenage life. Initially, it might be tough for Raj to play a character which is so popular, but I am sure audience will welcome him whole heartedly. My team is really working very hard to meet the expectations of the audiences.”

For the past eight years, actor Bhavya Gandhi played the role of Tapu in the show. However, he quit the show in the mid way.
Shedding more light on it, Asit Modi further added, “Honestly, it was sad to see Bhavya quitting our show when we needed him the most. I was like a father figure to him and I supported him throughout these years. He signed a Gujarati movie without informing us. I did not interfere in it as long as my show did not suffer. We were shooting a special Republic Day episode and Tapu was required for it. Surprisingly, Bhavya refuse to shoot. I was disheartened to see his behavior towards me and my team. Throughout these years, I always cooperated with him, but one cannot bear this kind of unprofessional behavior. We had no other option rather than replacing him with a new face. It seems like fame and success has gone into his head. But he should not forget that it was Tapu’s character which made him so popular. Anyways, I have no grudges against him and now my whole concentration will be on Raj and Tapu Sena.”

On the other hand, the 19-year-old boy Bhavya Gandhi claimed that his character was being sidelines, he conveyed his displeasure to the makers, but he failed to get any positive response.
“It’s not that I left because the character didn’t have any scope. It has a lot of potential but it wasn’t given much scope… It was ignored. I spoke to the makers a lot of times. But like you all saw, I was hardly seen in the episodes so that was pretty much the outcome of our meetings,” Bhavya said.
Meanwhile, Raj is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Mass Media degree in a suburban Mumbai college. He will be introduced on Tapu’s birthday.
