Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane’s ‘Trapped’ which is India’s first survival drama, has few scenes which were shot with rats.

Motwane won accolades with his debut coming-of-age drama “Udaan” in 2010, and followed it up with period romance “Lootera” in 2013, which also got positive reviews.

The film ‘Trapped’ showcases Rajkummar Rao trapped inside a house endlessly for days, without food, water and electricity.

For one particular scene in the film, Rajkumar Rao had to shoot with insects and rats! Well this was more challenging for Vikram to shoot as the director is himself scared of rats! Vikram has a huge fear of rats and so it was one of the most difficult part to shoot.

And so, on the days the crew had to shoot with rats Vikramaditya use to sit in a different room and monitor the shoot from there. It was amusing and funny both for the entire crew members. And this is how the director successfully managed to shoot the portion.

The film maker has left no stone unturned in giving away finest scenes, the film that has been screened at several film festivals has been applauded and also revived standing ovation!
