A major fire broke out at the Cinevista Studio in Mumbai’s Kanjurmarg area around 8 pm on (Saturday evening) January 6, 2018. The fire is said to have started at a television set where a shoot for a serial called ‘Bepanah’ was underway.
Within 25 minutes, eight fire engines and six water tankers reached the studio along with three ambulances.
Nearly 150 people were present at the location when the mishap happened. There were no injuries or casualties; the people have been evacuated from the studio to safer places.
Sony TV’s upcoming show Jennifer Winget starrer ‘Bepanah’ and currently-running show – Zayed Khan, Nikita Dutta, Vatsal Seth starrer ‘Haasil’ were being shot when the fire broke out.
[ecp code=”4″]TV actors Jennifer Winget, Harshad Chopra, Sehban Azim and Namrata Dubey were shooting at the spot. According to the report, fire emerged due to short circuit from a generator in the studio.

The Cinevista studio has over 30 shooting locations. The incident comes just a week after a huge fire was broken out at Kamala Mills compound in Lower Parel locality of Mumbai killing 14 people and injuring over 30.
