First Look: Sushant Singh Rajput, Jacqueline Fernandez start shoot for ‘Drive’

Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez have begun work on Karan Johar ‘s latest franchise ‘Drive’. The project that is being directed Tarun Mansukhani, is the first film in the series, as announced by Karan.

Karan Johar on Wednesday afternoon announced the news on Twitter. He shared a photograph of the two actors, with their back towards the camera and a clapboard with the film’s name.

“The franchise fun begins…’DRIVE’ directed by Tarun Mansukhani starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez starts today! The first of the series,” Karan captioned the image.

Mansukhani, who last directed the 2008 hit romantic comedy ‘Dostana‘, also took to Twitter to share his excitement for the project. Tarun took to Twitter and wrote, “7 years 345 days later… am back on set!!!!”

[ecp code=”4″] Stars like Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan joined leading stars Jacqueline and Sushant to convey their best wishes to the director.

Though not much about the project has been revealed, it seems the film would be the beginning of a new action series, as Karan mentioned that it is the first film in the franchise. So, can we expect a ‘Dhoom ‘ kind of a film or is it a desi version of Hollywood’s ‘Fast and Furious’?

Sushant Singh Rajput is currently riding high on the success of MS Dhoni biopic that entered the Rs 100 crore club last year. Meanwhile, Jacqueline has been busy with a couple of projects too. After working on several films last year, she made her television debut as a judge on dance reality show, ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’.

It is for the first time that Sushant and Jacqueline have collaborated for a film. Are you excited to watch them together?
