Today on September 21, not only bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor but B-Town’s bad man Gulshan Grover also celebrate his birthday. Gulshan Grover, the evergreen ‘badman’ of Bollywood, describes himself as a regular person, who worked “very hard” to be successful in his chosen craft — acting. As the actor turns a year older today, he says “age is just a number”. Why? “Because turning 62 doesn’t change an iota of anything. I am still that cool person I used to be,” says Gulshan with his trademark laugh.

In their career spanning several years in Bollywood, the duo hardly had a chance to work in films together. However, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday, Grover remembers the day when he brought in his birthday along with Kareena.

Remembering the time, Grover opens up saying, “We were shooting for Raja Babu (1994) and Bebo (Kareena) had accompanied her sister Karisma Kapoor on the set. We were shooting outdoors at Gobichettipalayam (Tamil Nadu). It was a small town. Seeing us (Bebo and Grover) together and considering it was our birthday, Govinda offered to treat everyone. Unfortunately there was nothing nearby except a small ice-cream shop. So he treated everyone with ice creams. It cost him only 60 rupees (laughs).”

While Grover kept bumping into Kareena every time she accompanied Karisma on the set, it is only during Agent Vinod that he actually got to shoot with her. He says, “It was Saif (Ali Khan) who called me and convinced me to do Agent Vinod. However during the shoot, where I came to do my cameo scenes, Saif had to rush as his father was in the hospital, it was Kareena who took good care of me on the sets. She is extremely humble and a hospitable person.”
