Two days after the launch of the trailer, the makers of Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Half Girlfriend’ have released the first song from the film.
The film’s first song “Baarish” also captures the essence of first love and all those butterflies you feel in your stomach when you look at your beloved. The song which features lead pair Arjun and Shraddha has been sung by Ash King and Shashaa Tirupati.
Composed by Tanishk Bagchi, ‘Baarish’ has been penned by Arafat Mehmood and Tanishk.
The song traces the blossoming romance between the lead actors in the backdrop of a prestigious Delhi college. The dreamy melody has Shraddha romancing the rains while Arjun can’t take his eyes off her.

It reminds us of the strong connection between Shraddha and rains, they have been almost inseparable in all her films. We literally cannot think of a movie without a rain song picturised on Shraddha.
‘Half Girlfriend‘, directed by Mohit Suri, is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s popular novel by the same name. The film is slated to release on May 19.
